Special people.

My lovely niece Isabella, and handsome Nephew Nicholas. They are the offspring of my one and only sister Jessica.  The Jessica who once excommunicated me from the top bunk, and played house with me until we were about 15.

And these are her babies, growing up into fine young people, who are now too embarrassed to be seen taking a picture together. Sounds cliche, but time does fly. I am feeling a sense of nostalgia coming over me, even though fall is almost over!

Baking

Every time I try to bake anything, I start wishing someone were standing behind me whispering in my ear saying "DON'T DO IT JO! This will NOT come out good. Flour will fly everywhere.  Hand-prints of Molasses are going to find themselves all over your walls. And in the end you are going to have a strange substance that only sort of resembles what you were trying to make.  DON'T DO IT JO!!!!"

I just recently got to photograph little baby Samuel. He is just delightful.  I have my own about this size so I felt especially happy to record this memory.
